The Beaufort West Abattoir is a remarkable facility strategically located in one of South Africa's most esteemed lamb production regions. This state-of-the-art abattoir has been meticulously engineered to make the slaughter process as seamless as possible.
Constructed with a combination of brick/mortar, steel, and insulated panels beneath an iron roof, this modern facility offers a maintained condition with related finishes and fittings. The layout has been expertly planned to foster efficiency; it includes dedicated areas for livestock holding, stunning, slaughter, processing, and chilling, along with well-appointed offices, a canteen/rest area, and change rooms. Each aspect of the design contributes to a seamless workflow, maximizing operational productivity.
As part of this auction, the facility comes with plant and equipment that are situated within the abattoir. These assets are indispensable to the slaughter process.
Additionally, the property features a secondary building affectionately known as the “Old Abattoir.” This space provides ample room for processing “5th quarter” items, greatly enhancing operational flexibility and profitability.
